SGBL sponsors “South Africa, Unity in diversity” photo exhibition

SGBL sponsored photographer Assaad Ahmad’s exhibition “South Africa, Unity in diversity” that took place from January 3 till January 6, 2011 at UNESCO palace. The opening that was held on January 3, 2011, under the patronage of Culture’s minister, Salim Wardé, and in the presence of South Africa’s consul, welcomed a big number of visitors.

The exhibition regroups more than 80 pictures took in South Africa between 2006 and 2010, from South African children in misery, to scenery, poor neighborhoods, rare animals and spaces where Nelson Mandela lived in.

Commenting SGBL’s sponsorship, CEO Antoun Sehnaoui declared: “Once more, SGBL confirms its engagement to promote art under all its forms. In this particular case, we are supporting an artist, who, through his pictures, wished to travel deep into a country and its nation to offer us moments full of humanity”.

40% of the exhibition’s revenues will be offered to the South African children condemned to the poorness.
