USJ students make funny faces and win with SGBL

April 18, 2011- Beirut Lebanon:  Société Générale de Banque au Liban (SGBL) was a prominent participant at this year’s  Université Saint Joseph (USJ) career fair which was held at the Social Sciences campus on April 6 and 7, 2011.  Students gathered eagerly around the SGBL stand, where a funny game was hosted, allowing them to engage in a photo booth competition, in which one student, was announced as the lucky winner of a 500 USD check.

Hundreds of students gathered at the SGBL stand to take pictures in the specialized booth and enter the competition.  The booth, complete with a funky backdrop, was filled with laughter and lively spirits with humorous faces, imitations, and all kinds of poses being photographed.  All the photos were then posted onto the SGBL Facebook page where participants and their friends were given the chance to vote for their favorite photo. The winner, a USJ student, Joe Jabbour, tapped into his humorous streak for the shot and ultimately gathered the most votes.
With an increased presence in social networks such as Facebook or Twitter, communication tools that have become today highly appreciated by youngsters, SGBL asserts its will to get closer to the youth by accompanying them on a daily basis and establishing with them a constant communication.

To congratulate Jabbour on his win, SGBL held a lively gathering at their recently inaugurated Jdeideh branch. The highlight of the event was the handing of the check from SGBL’s Deputy General Manager Mr Tarek Chehab and Mr Leba Aouad, Head of Human Resources, to the lucky winner, who thanked the bank for their constant support to youth.
