SGBL celebrates the “Francophonie day” and commits itself towards Lebanese youth

SGBL celebrated the international “Francophonie” day during the « Jeunesse en fête » event, in partnership with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), on Monday March 21st, at Unesco Palace.

SGBL participates in Hoops sports club’s annual dinner

The “Hoops” sports club organized his first annual dinner on February 3rd 2011, at the Crown Plaza Hotel, with the aim of encouraging the men’s basketball team, and thanking sponsors for their support, especially SGBL – the club’s official sponsor– and CEO Mr. Antoun Sehnaoui who was present at the dinner that evening.

SGBL supports the Chance association on World Cancer Day

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, placed under the theme « Prevention starts now », the Chance association (Children Against Cancer) organized on February 5th, a party for children along with their families. During the ceremony, that took place at Mövenpick Hotel, the Chance association launched a brochure, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, to raise awareness to prevent cancer.

On Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 8.30 am to 10.00 am, the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires, the Société Générale de Banque au Liban (SGBL) and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) organized the ninth management breakfast entitled "Francophonie, cultural diversity and cultural industries", moderated by the current Research Director at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) Mr. Dominique WOLTON (PhD. in sociology, Bachelor of Laws, Graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques of Paris).

Approached by LBC’s TV show "Kalem El Ness", on Thursday December 23rd 2010, SGBL and its Chairman Mr. Antoun Sehnaoui answered the call, to assure a house as well as bring comfort to a mother and her daughter who lost their house, finding themselves left on the streets during the holidays’ season.
